Orthopaedics & Joint
Replacement is among the fastest evolving specialties in India, addressing
conditions such as arthritis, joint deformities, sports injuries, and
age-related wear and tear. With the advent of robotic-assisted techniques,
joint replacement surgeries now provide greater precision, minimal pain,
shorter hospital stays, and faster return to normal activities. The growing
adoption of these techniques has set new benchmarks in patient care,
significantly improving mobility and overall quality of life.
Speaking on the launch, Dr. Sujoy
Bhattacharjee, Chairman & Chief – Robotic Joint Replacement, Max Super
Speciality Hospital, Saket, said, “Today, patients undergoing knee replacement
can begin walking independently on the same day of surgery, and most are
discharged within 48 hours.
This is a remarkable leap from
traditional outcomes, significantly improving quality of life. Robotic-assisted
joint replacement surgeries allow for unmatched surgical accuracy, reduced
complications, and faster recovery. With minimally invasive techniques and
real-time imaging, we can now offer highly precise implants tailored to each
patient’s anatomy.”
Dr. Bhattacharjee, further added,
“By identifying joint issues promptly, we can intervene before conditions
worsen, preventing further damage and reducing the risk of complications.
Timely diagnosis allows for the implementation of appropriate treatments, which
can alleviate pain, promote healing, and preserve joint function. The newly
launched OPD services in Dibrugarh aim to meet the rising demand for advanced
orthopaedic care in the city and nearby regions by providing patients direct
access to specialised consultation and surgical planning.”
With the launch of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement OPD services in Dibrugarh, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, strengthens its commitment to bringing advanced, patient-centric orthopaedic care closer to communities in the Northeast. The initiative aims to improve access to expert consultations, early diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment options, enabling patients to make informed decisions and achieve better mobility, faster recovery, and an improved quality of life.
